Our purpose is to provide a house with a supportive Christian environment for men who have alcohol and drug problems. The program requires a one-year commitment.
The non-denominational, non-discriminatory program accepts applicants based on a personal interview with the ministry and a meeting with house members.
We aim to provide for the basic needs of the men, while providing training through Biblical principles of life management for the whole person. Measures include financial and management, discipleship, individual counseling, job assistance, goal setting, personal relationships, Bible study and informative videos.
House of Hope, using two recovery homes located in Americus, Ga., is funded by the gifts of concerned individuals, corporations and churches—meeting ongoing needs and underwriting specific needs. No federal or state funds are used. All donations are tax-deductible.
An ordained minister, Jimmy has been counseling since 1988. Conducting
prison ministry and seeing ex-prisoners lose their way led him to establish
the House of Hope to assist these and other men, guiding them to a new life. |
